TEHRAN – The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Deputy Director, Mohammad Saeedi, and Iran’s ambassador to the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency, Asghar Soltanieh, have described the latest negotiations between Iran and UN nuclear watchdog as ‘constructive’.

International Atomic Energy Agency Deputy Director in charge of inspections Olli Heinonen held talks with Iranian nuclear officials in Tehran on Thursday and Friday aimed at improving cooperation with the IAEA over Iran’s nuclear program.
“This round of talks was held over Iran’s current relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency… the talks will continue in future,” Saeedi told ISNA.
Meanwhile, Iran’s ambassador to the IAEA Ali-Asghar Soltanieh termed the talks as “exclusively technical”.
“The negotiations were held in a positive, constructive, and friendly climate,” Soltanieh told the Mehr News Agency.
He said the new round of talk will be held ahead of the Board of Governors’ next meeting in mid-September when IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei will put forward his latest report on Iran’s nuclear activities.
